The main structure is Solid Oak including the legs, shelves and frame. The reversible sliding doors are a heavy engineered timber with Oak veneer. This is due to natural timber expanding and contracting with weather changes making engineered timber more suitable for sliding doors. The inside of the drawers are pine and ply due to the light weight making for an easier sliding drawer, with ply giving it strength.
Pine edges and ply base. This helps to keep the weight light with beautiful and strong dovetail joinery that holds the drawer boxes together.
One of the beautiful things about oak is the depth and variation in tone and color. This gives it a premium feel as this is not achievable with veneer. While your existing furniture may be a different shade a good rule for timbers to compliment is to stick to a tone; either warm or cool. Oak is a warm toned wood. We have a link in the footer to request a timber sample.
We recommend a weekly dust with a dry microfibre cloth and using a timber specific clean and polish product once a month to add a UV protection to your unit and help to prevent wear and tear. We recommend the use of coasters and and avoid placing hot or wet items directly onto the unit top.
